Company Info
Kerval Ltd., in Karlstejn near Prague, was founded in 1997. Its topic
of business reassumes that of Ocelarsky vyzkumny ustav s.p.
(Research Institute of Steel) and OVU Karlstejn Ltd. The main
production programm consists of research, development,
construction and manufacture of oxidic and non-oxidic ceramics;
and research, development, construction and manufacture in
metallurgy and steel industry. Kerval Ltd. delivers small order
based products of corund baddeley ceramics, cold rolled steel
strips, spun casted rolls and special castings. At present, as a new
activity, thin steel ceiling panels are produced. Corund baddelley
ceramics, made by fusion of ZrO2 and AL2O3 based raw materials,
are high resistant ceramics, used for high temperature applications and in the gas manufacture, metallurgy
and power industries.
High precision in size and of required specific properties is gained due
to cold rolling. In this way produced strips are utilised in many
different engineering branches. Centrifugal casted rolls are, due to the
specific technology applied, highly suitable for hot rolling of seamless
tubes. Thin-walled profiles are applied in the building industry as
ceiling panels. This makes it possible to cover plumbing, wiring, air
conditions, waste and to some extend noise elimination of rooms in
buildings.
