Strapping steel strip (steel packing tape):

We are supplying the strapping steel strip for hand tools in the following parameters:

• Width: 12 - 32 mm, tolerance +0,20 mm - 0,00 mm
• Thickness: 0,4 - 1,0 mm, tolerance +- 0,02 mm
• Edge finish: max. 0,04 mm
• Surface finish: non-coated, zinc-coated, brass-coated and nickel-coated.
• Material: structural steel, CSR 11 343.25
• Bundle weights: 80 - 100 kg
• Coil weights: 1.2 - 2.9 kg/mm strip width

Special Types of Galvanised Coatings:

• Coatings with different thickness of metal coating on each side of strip
  Different metal coating thickness on each side of the strip may be produced. In this case the more coated strip side may receive up to 1/2 of the level of given maximum thickness of the coating, while less coated side must receive at least 1/2 of the thickness of above mentioned thinnest coating. It is typical that the strip wound in coil has the more coated layer up.
  
• Coatings with doubled metal-coat
  A product may be coated with doubled metal-coat. In this case the thickness of each metal coat may not exceed the thickness of the above stated very thick metal coats. Available are the following combinations (the first metal represents a lower layer): copper - nickel, nickel - copper, brass - copper, brass - nickel

Surface Finish of Galvanised Metal - Coated Strip Steel:

Basic finish:

a) Non-polished surface (DIN - BK designation) provides dull colouring of the used metal in various shades. The thinnest zinc-coated strip steel is supplied exclusively with such finish surface.

b) Polished surface (DIN 1624 - RP designation) provides shining surface with the colour of the used metal.

c) Highly polished surface (DIN 1624 - RPG designation) provides highly shining surface without scratches or minor pores.

d) Brushed surface provides medium-bright surface with the colour of the used metal. Such finished surface is supplied only with brass, zinc, and copper finish.

Note: Due to polishing the quantity of galvanised-coated metal is reduced by up to 25 %. The different dimensions are available within the production assortment range.

Special surface finish zinc-chromate-coated by galvanic process:

The passive layers on the surface of zinc-coated steel tape is protected against the aggressive environment. This protection is achieved by chemical treatment in conjunction with electrolysis. In result of this process, tape is high quality steel with coatings of chrome added to it. The final product has layers of material, which can enhance usefulness of our steel tape such as:

• better appearance
• protection against corrosion
• improve possible coating with different materials
